I have a dmr e65 since february 2006. it is the best dvd recorder i've ever worked with. however, it has a major desavantage: unfortunately, the air flow inside the case it isn't very well designed so , most likely, you will have dust problems. I had many problems because of this, but the solution is easy: in case of an error ( the dvd displays "no read" or any othe kind of "error", you have to use a DRY cd/dvd cleaner. DO NOT USE a WET cd/dvd cleaner!!!! it WILL definitely harm the system!and please try to use an older model of a cd/dvd cleaner although you won't expect problems with new ones...
I strongly recommend you to buy this model from panasonic!
