Pros Great for a mobile office device.
Cons Palm and Windows software is not compatible with each other.
Recommended it? Yes

The Treo 700w is a phone with a built-in mini computer, a descent built-in camera, a Windows operating system and more. Now you can send and retrieve your emails almost anywhere there is cellular phone service in the US. (You must subscribe to a mobile office package like Intellisync,... Read full review »

Pros Keeps you in touch and organized
Cons Needed more thorough QA testing
Recommended it? Yes

It only took me a year and a half, so it was WAY past time...for a few years I had been carrying around a Tungsten T PDA and one of those Cingular "free" phones. PDA and my wallet in one pocket, phone and keys in another...couldn't get email or text messages, couldn't play mp3s, I just HAD to get a... Read full review »

Palm Treo 700wx - A Bold Move Towards Windows... But is it a Home Run?

bysoupcraze Aug 22, 2007

Pros Windows Mobile 5, Familiar Treo-Layout, Generous Amount of Memory, EV-DO Support,...
Cons Laggy, Smaller Screen, Pricey, Poorer Clarity Versus Palm?, Lacks Features of Other WM...
Recommended it? No

I was amazed when I learned that Palm would create a Windows-Powered device. This became the Palm Treo 700w, and then the Palm Treo 700wx that runs on the Sprint network. There is also a similar phone, the Palm Treo 750 that is a GSM model using the AT&T network, but I have not actually used it... Read full review »

One of the best PDA/Phone combinations available

Pros Easy one-handed use Excellent phone functionality
Cons Insufficient memory 240x240 screen breaks some applications No WiFi Awkward stylus
Recommended it? Yes

When I first read about the uholy marriage of Windows Mobile and a Palm device I was understandably both intrigued and skeptical. The Palm Treo's have been a top choice of PDA-Phone users ever since their introduction. However, there is a segment of that population (myself included) that prefers... Read full review »

Pros Attractive, easy to use keyboard, easy to use with one hand...
Cons Poor Bluetooth reception... GPS is not enabled... NOT compatable with TOMTOM ONE XL,
Recommended it? No

I was so excited to that PALM was making the Treo 700w. I have been an avid Pocket PC, Windows Mobile user for years. Over all I really like the operating system. I have to say however, after purchasing the Treo 700w I was disappointed.

I have owned and used the phone for about 9... Read full review »

The Treo 700W...not quite the ultimate, but a step in the right direction

bysidraw1 Feb 12, 2009

Pros Built in keyboard, good feel, good screen brightness, dead battery doesn't mean lost...
Cons Not enough memory, screen could be larger resolution, SD slot not in best place
Recommended it? Yes

I have been putting the Treo 700W through its paces in a rather intense fashion lately. I have to tell you, there's a lot to like. Unfortunately, there are also some things to dislike and I'll get into both of those here.

First, I have to preface this by saying that I am not a Treo 600 or... Read full review »

Pros Small for a Pda full keyboard IMAP, POP and Sync extra applications
Cons Battery usage style dated windows version
Recommended it? Yes

I spent a fair amount of time researching my phone / pda. Since I was looking at the 2-year contract price, I needed on that would stand up during that period. I chose the TREO because of its email abilities. Competing BLACKBERRY devices required licenses at the office, and since I was not one... Read full review »

Not a bad choice

Pros Good camera, great programs
Cons Somewhat heavy and bulky

I purchased this phone with Verizon when my old phone was slowly dying and my PDA had kicked the bucket. Overall it was a good choice. My only regret is that it isn't completely compatible with Apple computers (and I'm switching over in the next couple of months).

I love the fact that I... Read full review »

I was so excited with the hope to be able to organize my life with this PDA cellphone combination!!

Unfortunately it is THE worst windows OS that I have ever used, definitely worse than Windows ME. It is buggy, slow, crashes, locks up, and most notably, it occaisionally crashes when I have... Read full review »

Bring on my Samsung SCH-i760

bykman308 May 14, 2008

Pros Doesn't drop as many calls as my 600 or 650, one-handed operation fairly easy
Cons Lag time, small keypad, small screen, crappy ringtones
Recommended it? No

I have used the Treo 600, 650, and now the 700. I must say this one is probably the worst of the 3. Even with the huge memory expansion from the 650, this device has a lag time like no other. I drop calls, and even worse, when I hang up a call, etc... there is a delay of well over a few seconds. By... Read full review »
