Is the Treo 755 still relevant?

bynad_masters Oct 31, 2007
26 Helpfuls 27 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Cheap(er), smaller size, attractive design, improved keyboard feel, smaller crisper screen
Cons Battery door hard to remove and reinstall. No reset button.
Recommended it? Yes

Treos used to be for Business Executives and Gadget Lovers. Blackberries and Windows Mobile 6 devices have covered both now. The Centro is now perfect for beginners and students due to the lower price point as well as a very simple interface cira the 90s.

The Palm Treos haven't really... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, great apps included.  Only limited by your imagination
Cons No car charger, battery drains quickly.
Recommended it? Yes

I will warn you this is going to be an extremely long review.  But if you're like me you get tired of the "This is the greatest thing ever..." reviews or the "this is the worst thing ever..." reviews.  So I will just talk about the features I use the most and what I like or don't like about the... Pros Compact size, ease of use, variety of compatible applications, call and speaker quality,...
Cons Shifty battery door, average battery life, cramped keyboard

I realize there are many reviews on the Palm Centro, so I’m going to try to get into some real specifics; the end result should be that if you read this review and combine it with nad_master’s review here, just about every question you might have about the Centro will be answered.

My first Smartphone, quite pleased with it!

byalanp Aug 20, 2008
19 Helpfuls 20 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small size, good call quality and battery life, lots of Palm apps to install
Cons Palm UI is a little dated, not as user friendly as some other smartphones
Recommended it? Yes

Before i get started, I want to emphasize that this is the first smartphone I've ever owned. I've owned many regular "dumb" phones in the past, mostly Nokia, so I may miss addressing some crucial features/comparisons that smartphone power-users may look for. This review is more or less intended for... Read full review »

A Verizon smartphone for former Palm users

bygozumm Feb 6, 2009
14 Helpfuls 15 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Library of Palm programs, ergonomics as a phone and PDA, size, reliability
Cons Keyboard, software migration, documentation, Bluetooth dialing, power problem
Recommended it? No

For an executive summary, see only bolded items. This is my final update, as at 11 months of under 30min daily use, I found power and other issues that reduce my recommendation.  Power issue has been a big complaint from other users, but no single issue or fix cited for it.  See bottom of... Making the Decision:
The Palm Centro is a great cell phone for those that are looking for a gadget that does more than simply act as a phone or a way to text. In May 2008, I went to the Sprint store with a current account that I wanted to upgrade, along with a new phone. With the Simply... Read full review »

bypetergaryr Aug 3, 2008
11 Helpfuls 12 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small, relatively lightweight PDA phone.
Cons Very small, closely spaced keys.
Recommended it? Yes

What Is It?

What would happen if you took a Palm PDA, MP3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera, pocket calculator and a phone and combined them all into one small device? That is the premise behind the Palm Centro.

What's In the Box?

You get the Centro, battery, USB cable and AC... Read full review »

well, this is my first smart phone. I have had this for about 2 weeks now. My previous phone was the Samsung A920 which was a flip mp3 phone.
