DEAD ENGINE - NO SUPPORT FROM COMPANY

Bought this TV on the recommendation of the salesperson from a high end audio-video store. Soon had problems resulting in several services calls & TV out of commission while new mother board ordered and replaced. Shortly after warranty ended, TV had picture problems then went out completely. No support from company other than suggesting I replace engine for nearly $1000 (plus labor) and no guarantee that would fix the problem. In fact, I would have to pay restock fees to return parts if that wasn't the problem. Sold this $4500 TV for $100 and was just glad to get this boat anchor out of the house. Expensive lesson! Bought a Sony SXRD (Model KDS-R60XBR1) and love it! Friends constantly comment of the great picture quality. My recommendation for Optima is to put your hard earned money into something else!
