The Olympus Stylus 800 is a small camera with a big surprise. First of all it is a weatherproof digital camera; "not waterproof." The camera can be used outside while it is raining and not underwater. Next you get 8-megapixels of resolution; more than enough for anyone, which gives a... Read full review »

After having good experience with the 5-Megapixel all-weather Olympus Stylus 500, I wanted to try the 8-Megapixel Olympus Stylus 800, which is also an all-weather camera. While being similar to the Stylus 500, the Stylus 800 is not the same camera with higher resolution. I got it a week ago and... Read full review »

Cons Requires costly accoutrement to realize full potential.

I like cameras. That's probably why I have several dozen (no kidding) in working order in my house. The facts that I never throw anything away and have been around for a staggering number of years also contribute to that unwieldy number of picture taking devices. But I have favorites. For many... I had to buy a new camera since my boss borrowed my Kodak and lost it on Halloween night. So he gave me an allowance to purchase another one. I found this one at Sam's Club on a last one clearance sale that had a sale price of under half of the original but I supposed to buy the one on display but... Read full review »

This is my fourth digital camera!

My relationship with digital camera's has always left me wanting more until I got to this camera. I've owned the Sony Mavica, low end Kodak Easyshare, which is still in my car in case I need a shot for insurance claims adjustors, and my very first digital... Read full review »

I have not questioned this investment one time in approx a year. In fact, I am more pleased with this digital camera than any computer, electronic component or gadget I have purchased in the last 20 years. My reaction is slanted by my jump from 3 mega pixels to 8 with this purchase, but results are... Read full review »

2/13/08 - The cam worked fine except while taking movies. The video was good but it sounded like something was rolling around inside with the slightest movement of this cam. At first, I thought this was suppose to do this but this (loose part) noise was getting into the audio of the movies I took... Read full review »
