Nikon Coolpis S210 - Great Everyday Camera!
The shutter lag of this camera is very good for its class if the camera is already in focus. The lag time nearly doubles (~1sec in good lighting) when focus is required. Focus time seems to lengthen in dim or poor lighting conditions.

The Nikon COOLPIX S210 is one of the latest in Nikon s Style line of digital cameras, packing sophisticated style in an elegant aluminum finish body. Featuring advanced functions and high performance in an ultra-slim design, the COOLPIX S210 fits comfortably in your hand. Featuring 52 MB of internal memory, the S210 also has electronic VR image stabilization that compensates for the effects of camera shake, allowing you to take sharper pictures particularly in lower light conditions. Light sensitivity range up to ISO 2000 allows the use of faster shutter speeds to avoid blurred images when shooting moving subjects or in locations with insufficient lighting. ISO sensitivity is automatically optimized in High-Sensitivity mode. In camera premium features include In-camera Red-Eye Fix which automatically fixes most typical occurrences of red-eye D-Lighting compensates for underexposed images or insufficient flash by automatically adding light and detail to selected shots where needed without affecting properly exposed areas and Face-Priority AF which automatically finds and focuses on up to 12 faces to ensure superb portraits with clear crisp focus.
