You can't go wrong with a Nikon
Pros
great picture quality
Cons
battery cover breaks easily
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is a good little camera, that is easy to use, and not very costly.
I have had this camera for several years now, and it is still going strong.
This was my very first digital camera, so I knew nothing about digital cameras before having this one. But it is extremely easy to use, and you don't have to be a professional to be able to take really great photos with it. Plus it is not very costly. While they have newer models of this camera out there now, you can still find this one at a few places, and for much less than the newer models.
Now if you are looking for a professional quality camera, than this camera probably isn't the one you want, but if you just need a good camera for taking family pics, then this is the camera for you.
While the body is starting to fall apart it still takes great pictures. I have never been able to complain about the photo quality on this camera.
One problem with this camera, (and I have found that others I know with the same camera also had this problem)is that the latch for the battery cover breaks easily. So you either have to tape it or just hold it every time you turn on the camera. If you can get past this, then it is a great camera.
Now that it is older, the shutter also sometimes sticks on me and I have to manually open it, which means I also have to be careful not to leave smudges on the lens.
This camera is small and so it is easy to carry with you, in a purse, or diaper bag. Mine came with a bag for it which is also small, and on a string that can be adjusted, and put around the neck. Which also makes it easy to carry.
Another thing about it is, that the memory card that comes with it holds very few photos. So you either have to upload them more often, or buy a bigger card for it. But the good thing is cards are not too expensive.
Overall for the price this is a great little camera, and I would recommend it to others!
