Neodigits Helios H4000 DVD Player

Well, especially for its price, image quality cannot get much better than this via Component input. The player itself looks like nothing when you take it out of the the box. It's almost scary. But, when you turn on the machine, the first thing I noticed was the silky-smooth logo screen. And after playing some samples from my favorite discs, this little gem just blew me away. Had no problem to play any factory/copied/shrunk movies from Hungary, it played everything the way I was hoping for. Home made DVD+ and DVD- discs played well regardless what brand they were, no glitches, no error messages, no nothing, just fun. Audio quality is excellent as well via optical output (Onkyo pre/power, Celestion front and KEF rear speakers, Polk center speaker). If you want to get a significantly better player, better open your wallet wide, under 500 bucks you will not find anything like this, I'm pretty sure. It plays Pal and NTSC flawlessly, no flickering, no hesitation.
