Excellent for the size & price

Pros PORTABLE PORTABLE and Pretty decent sound. Built like a brick. Good price
Cons Can't replace rechargeable li ion battery. Seems like lots of defective models
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Great unit - top marks for it's portability & half decent sound. Nice touches like travel bag/remote & a brick like casing. All this for an amazing price
A great deal for a portable ipod dock.

Clear sound and can crank it up. Bass is as expected (not the greatest but you are not paying $399 for a harmon karmon or bose.

Got it at an amazing price - new. Now being replace by newer version. Paid $55 Cdn/US. To think a year or 2 ago it was going for almost $200. The newer version is now at Costco for about $100. But the features are same so why pay more for the same.

Can get about 7-10 hrs on a charge. It's great to carry it around the house/outside/anywhere. So small & portable with a pretty good sound comparing to larger model docks.

Rechargeable battery is non replaceable per instructions and Logitech. They claim if it goes or loses charge within 2yr warranty period, they will give you a new unit since the battery is built in. Not a bad deal. But i guess after 2 yrs you are basically SOL. you can try to do it yourself with a lith ion battery of similar spec from the net. But apparently not that easy. I guess for $50 it's good for 2 yrs. And after that you can use it with AC only. Buy that time, you'll prob want a new dock/ipod/itouch anyways.

Newer versions of mm50 come with various adaptor including for mini/nano (old version). Fits new classic without adaptor.

The unit is sturdy and looks like you can bang it around. You get a niffy travel bag and a remote too. Nice touch esp bringing it to the park/beach or travelling around.

I already have the Kingston 3000 dock which is pretty cool and does well on it's crispness but not bass. Very similar sound to the mm50 but this baby is portable.

No sense spending so much on those other expensive docks as you could always use a stereo/home theatre that would give you better sound anyways. So save your money on a dock and spend it elsewhere.
