High Quality, Decent Value, Excellent Performance
Pros
Comfortable, Good Noise Reduction, Good Sound Quality on Speakers and Microphone
Cons
Speakers can separate from the headband if tightly packed in a suitcase.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Excellent for Skype calls, great sound quality on speakers and microphone. Aside from relying on software mute and volume controls, it works flawlessly without drivers. Highly Recommended.
I've had this Logitech 250 USB headset for about three months, and I am still glad I purchased it.
I primarily use my headset for Skype calls, and for listening to Shoutcast streams while I work. I find that they perform very well, and are quite comfortable for all day usage. They are lightweight, and can be worn all day without fatigue. The adjustable ear pieces adequately fit my large head, unlike other headsets. I like how the wire is only on one side, and the cable is very long.
The microphone is of good quality for voice, for something so inexpensive. I've used a number of microphones with noise reduction, many were more expensive, and most did not work this well.
I like the usb connection, which seems to have better sound than a comparable set of 1/8" jack plugs. It also eliminates the need for an external power supply, or for batteries, which can weigh down other noise reduction microphones.
The microphone boom is easy to use, and in a good position. There are no physical controls on the headset, so muting or other functions must be performed in software, which is a small price to pay for the overall excellent convenience of this device.
It works without drivers on OSX, Windows XP x32, Vista x64.
