The Bottom Line:
Avoid this product until it matures, especially if you have a setup like mine.
My experience with this product was very negative. It was difficult to work with and understand out of the box. The instructions were simple, but the simple case did not work correctly on my Vista machine. I had to go into the CD and find the "advanced" section of the setup document and work directly with the network interface drivers just to get this product into setup mode. Once there, I struggled for several hours working with online technicians trying to get this device to connect itself to my Buffalo Technology WHR-HP-G54 wireless router. Several reboots and power clears later we came to realize that the wgn600n would not work on my network unless I disabled all security features (i.e. no WPA or WEP encryption). This was a deal breaker for me.
The online support was strong, but clearly the Linksys stance was that the product is not considered "defective" if it can connect to the network in unsecured mode. The technician himself even admitted that it should be documented as a "product limitation". Stay clear of this product for now. Future firmwares may be more readily compatible with all devices. As it stands now, this product seems to coexist with a limited set of hardware.
