Shine on with the LG Shine

Pros Sleek stylish and durable. The best phone I have ever had.
Cons tiny keypad, and smudges on the screen.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Get this phone, it combines all the features you want and can handle your busy life. It has some tiny problems that are minuscule, but overall a nice quality phone.
I, for one, am sick of cheap plastic being molded over some computer chip and being passed off as a cell phone. I love living an active lifestyle, so I am hard on phones. My older phone broke while I was rock climbing, though not unusual for a large fall to break most things, you think my old phone (a Nokia) would have survived the drive up the canyon. Shopping around led me to this sleek, and dare I say, sexy phone. I now love my LG Shine.

Stylish
Definitely one of my main criterion for any cell phone is how it looks. It maybe a bit shallow, but the beauty and design drew me in. The sleek metal casing is unusually refreshing and the weight just makes it feel right. I am a fan of the slider in general, but I have heard sometimes the contacts between the halves wear out faster than average, so beware but I haven't had any problems like that. I also have to wipe it down a lot to keep the screen from being covered in fingerprints, but that is just an excuse to pull it out again.

Feel/Durability
I can't believe how many phones just can't last to the simple wear and tear of being in my pocket. This phone can take a beating. I've dropped it several times and it has sustained no major damage. Though a drawback can be it does scratch pretty easily. Then again this is coming from a guy who absentmindedly leaves nails and keys in my pocket with the phone. I know I talked about the weight but it is perfectly balanced open or closed.

Features
This phone scores big on the features. The camera has great photo quality I think it is around 2 megapixels. I use it instead of carrying a camera around on trips making it a dual blessing to have. I love the sound quality for the songs I have put on it. It is simple and fun to use. Granted it isn't Bose but hey it's a PHONE! I am still quite clueless about bluetooth but a headset was easy to tie into it so i can drive and talk, well legally anyway. With the nice design, the keypad exempt, and cool gadgetry, this is definitely the phone for James Bond.

Call Quality
I seem to get on average one more bar of service than those around me. The sound quality on a call is crystal clear, yup even on top of the mountain. It is almost like being face to face, but anything would have been better than my old phone.

Price
I had to pay full price for it, but I was smitten and they couldn't pry it out of my hands. It wasn't the cheapest phone at around 210$ however you can get really good second hand ones for cheap. Don't pay full price, unless you are as impulsive as me when it comes to nice things. This would be my biggest drawback, and honestly it could be worse I think half the problem with price is everything is now expensive, not just the phone. What it lacks in a low price it makes up for in quality. So what is more important to you?

I have been really happy with my decision. I know you will be too. From great photos to crisp calls this phone handles business. So if you would like something suave and sophisticated while being able to tackle the rigors of that ropes course, get this phone.
