I purchased this BluRay for my father as a Christmas gift. I am now learning that this gift has been a nightmare for him. When he went to install it he realized the disk player was not working. He phoned LG to arrange a replacement device and shipped the original one back.
Some time later he receives a REFURBISHED device as a replacement from LG. I paid FULL price for a FUNCTIONING product, not a refurbished product. He has phoned LG numerous times and always gets the same reply, "Sorry. This is our standard procedure."
Needless to say,this is frustrating and very upsetting. This was supposed to be a wonderful gift for him and it has been a NIGHTMARE.
LG has knowingly ripped us off by not properly replacing a defective product.
