Kodak EasyShare C813 Digital Camera

I got the Kodak EasyShare C813 as a gift twice, once at Christmas and once on my birthday. Why twice? The first one died just days after purchase. It happened at a time when it usually does, during travel and special events. Fortunately, I had the foresight to bring my HP 1.0 megapixel as a backup (I studied risk management). The HP turned out to be a life saver and I was able to get many precious shots that would have been lost forever. We returned the EasyShare to [unnamed big box retailer] and got our money refunded. Then my brother gave me the same model Kodak camera for my birthday a few months later. I should have forewarned him. This time the camera functioned properly for a full year before the zoom failed. I may not have lost my own money on these cameras but I was surely disappointed in this product. Aside from that, it took very good photos. They were crystal clear and the features were easy to use. The video may not have been of professional quality but it was adequate for fun stuff like traveling, events and documentation. I liked the performance while it lasted but was furious at it's failure, twice.
