The Bottom Line:
I like the compactness and sound quality so much I plan on purchasing another as a gift for my brother.
I purchased this speaker system just before Christmas and I truly love it. It is just compact enough that it fits perfectly on my computer hard drive. Initially, I was looking to purchase a ipod docking station that had a speaker system and alarm clock incorporated. The more I thought about I realized that I didn't really need an alarm clock. That left me with basically just wanting something that I could dock my ipod nano in and that had a decent sound quality.
I did a little research and comparison shopping online and found this Kensington speaker system that consistently got great reviews. I liked the fact that it accepted all types of ipods. I have a 20gb regular sized ipod as well as a nano--so being able to use both was a plus. I also liked the fact that the speaker sound is designed to come out of both the front side and back side of the speaker. Because of this unique design the music quality is indeed rich.
When taking it out of the box the really great thing about it is that it totally fool proof and easy to use. I always worry when I buy electronics that I won't be able to figure out how to use it myself. But, there were no worries--it is plug and play straight from the box.
Another great thing was that I purchased it through Amazon for $50 and Kensington offered a $25 rebate at the time. So having something of this quality for $25 was a deal to me. I have since received the $25 back too.
