I can't hear you!

Pros Compact, two handsets. Nice orange colored display. Good ringtone options.
Cons Outside party cannot hear you! Goofy "Voice Changer" feature only serves to annoy callers.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Get another Panasonic model. It's important for the outside party (caller or reciever) to be able to hear you!
I bought this product following a high confidence in Panasonic quality. Other family members have 5.8 GHz Panasonic phones with an additional (expanded) headset, so when I saw this model with two handsets in one package, I grabbed it up swiftly. Unfortunately everyone I spoke to complained of my sounding faint and distant while speaking. I could not correct this by any means, such as re-positioning the handset, tweaking voice enhancers, anything. This was a first since my previous phone, a Panasonic 2.4 GHz model was loud and clear to callers). The other features are functioning just fine though I question the usefulness of a few features: The "Voice Changer" feature, with options like "Fun voice", disguises the owner's voice to a "Alvin and the chipmunks" pitch. It is at best, cute, but comes across more as obnoxious than useful. My mother thinks it sounds pervy and others laugh at me not taking what I say seriously. Okay, so it's just for fun. The "Deep Voice" setting is even worse and begs the listener to say "what?" constantly. My final conclusion is try another model. This one boasts being shock and splash resistant but may have compromised the most important quality of a telephone ... BEING AUDIBLE!
