Cons Very few DVD Audios available, makes DVD Audio function limited.

This JVC player is perfect for the person who wants it all, but can't afford it all. The player has DVD-Audio capabilities for the best music you can hear. Pros JVC can't be beat for price/performance ratio. Many Extras, Great Picture
Cons A little complex to tune to my liking, remote a bit unresponsive at times.

Took the dive for a progressive scan DVD player to match better with my capable TV. Amazing improvement. JVC was about the only one in my price range. Pros Picture Quality and Construction. Remote There was a black version XV-D721BK.
Cons Dated design, and Bulky. Gold Color never caught on.
Recommended it? Yes

This was the high point of JVC DVD players, as far as reaching into the High End market. Since I have had mine for several years, and it is still playing fine, it for sure is dependable. Like many new JVC or Panasonic players, there are many Picture adjustments you can make. Nice feature.

Pros Wonderful Picture and Sound Looks great
Cons Remote looks a little cheap

I replaced my OLD broken JVC DVD with this.
For my old one I paid $250 (the original MSRP was $450)
It was going to be $200 to fix the laser on it.

Wow! Where else could you buy a DVD player with all these features (DTS, progressive scan, zoom, strobe, shuttle jog & more) at such a great price. I was even more fortunate - the machine was on close-out at Best Buy for $259!!!!!

This player's picture and audio is excellent. If you have an HDTV and set the progressive scan on, the picture is amazing. On a Pioneer 53" HDTV it feels like you are in the picture. This DVD Audio player is today, the best there is. Its easy to hook up, you will enjoy everything this DVD player has to offer. It looks great, will go with just about any decor. (Gold in color.) You will notice one you hook it up how great it looks with other components.
