The Infinity Beta 50 floorstanding speaker is magnetically shielded and available in black and cherry finishes. Infinity's patented Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (CMMD ) technology delivers accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly lifelike sound. Dual 8" CMMD woofers deliver maximum bass impact and excitement. The Infinity Beta 50 also features an improved tweeter that delivers extended high-frequencies out to 40kHz. Perfect for SACD or DVD-Audio recordings. The tweeter is mounted in a patent-pending Constant Acoustic Impedance waveguide for improved high-frequency dispersion anywhere

Pros excellent sound,superior construction, great looks.
Cons they are really heavy to be moving them around,like a sherman tank vs. volkswagon
Recommended it? Yes

i spent the last few months researching speakers. i am just the average joe working man looking for the best i can get for the least amount of money spent.
the bottom line on buying speakers , regardless of how much you can afford, is to find the ones that YOU think sound the best.

Pros Great sound for the money. Sounds better than speakers costing 3 times as much
Cons Not very nice looking. Cherry finish looks cheap. Fit and finish could be better.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased these speakers over the Internet based on reviews, both professional and user. I am glad that I did because the sound quality is excellent. I had purchased a pair of Polk RTi10 speakers from Future Shop here in Ontario, but the highs were just too harsh, and almost distorted under high... Read full review »
