Worst Printer I ever owned

Cons
Eats ink like crazy, cd print feature doesn't work, waste of money

No
The Bottom Line:
Pass on this one and keep looking. It is an Ink Eater!
I am not quite sure what this printer costs, it was a gift. Being a sole user of HP printers I have to say, I hate this printer. It uses way more ink than any other printer i have owned. As soon as I replace a cartridge, seems another one is empty, even though just a few seconds before the status showed a considerable amount. You have to keep a complete set of cartridges on hand, just in case it decides to drain one when you really need to print something. We thought it was a good idea to have individual cartridges, but these seem to need to be changed every time you print one photo or such.
As far as the print on cd feature, I can't get it to print on a cd, the drawer that supposedly holds the cd in place for printing opens up on its own and then i get a message to close tray before printing. Even when i didn't even open it. Just seems like this printer has too much going on and even it gets confused. I used to enjoy printing but not anymore.
The only plus side is the touch screen. I like that feature and its very bright and easy to read. Too bad the rest of the printer doesn't compare to the screen.
The photo print paper is a nice idea, but trying to print anything other than a text doc on regular paper is impossible. It uses up too much ink and looks terrible.
I will be doing my research now to find a printer I can be happy with. This one is got too many bells and whistles and it can't even figure out what it needs to do. I don't print a lot of photos mostly just text docs, which I do in gray-scale, even then, the ink seems to evaporate. Especially when that rare event comes and I need to print a photo, or anything other than a text doc.
