gee, I can actually see the document to be sure it's straight!
I've been looking at this scanner for at least a year. Every time I've seen it I thought the price was a bit high. They were selling this unit for $99.00 and the higher end version with the film unit for $149.00. Finally the price has been brought down to the reasonable less than fifty dollar range... Nice Idea but unreliable execution
being a veteran of scanners (2 microteks, a cannon, a brother mfc, 2 visioneers and a couple of hp's,) I really liked the idea of being able to see my document as it scanned and knowing it was straight in the scanner. Great idea, see through is useful, just doesn't work
I am on my second 4600 scanner, both have exact same problem - 1 inch stripes in the direction of scan. Annoyingly not 100% of the time, about 20% of the time it will work. The other 80%, forget it, go do something else. Tried all the patches on the update page and talked to completely hopeless... Read full review »
