Now that Hewlett-Packard has released the 7400C scanner, HP had to update the rest of the 63xx line. What the 7450C package is... it is a package deal of the 7400C scanner with the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). The 7450C is replacing the 6350C high end ScanJet and ADF package for an additional... After owning an HP ScanJet 6250C scanner for several years, I upgraded to the HP ScanJet 7450C. It was a big disappointment in some ways, adequate in others.

In this review, I?ll discuss scanning hardware, scanning quality, scanning controls, performance, Automatic Document Feeder (ADF),... Read full review »

I recently purchased the HP Scanjet 7450c as a home scanner. I scan all of my financial documents and statements, then burn them onto CD-R for permanent archival. In Addition I have a large number of color and B&W photos of my Grandmother's (recently deceased) that I need to scan and distribute to... Read full review »

This HP Scanjet 7450C came to me at a great deal at $285 from OptionsDirect.com. Where else can you find a scanner with ADF that can take legal sized paper?

My primary purpose for using the scanner is to scan office documents for OCR and recordkeeping. I only do scans within 200-600 dpi... Read full review »

Pros Quick
Cons Expensive, Average Quality, poor software - Don't buy

I purchased this scanner purley because it is one of the few on the market now which has a document sheet feeder therefore my choices were very limited.

Scanning colour photos was very fast however the quality was in my opinion still very average.

My main objective was to scan... Read full review »

Pass on this scanner

Pros Big promises
Cons Doesn't deliver. Skewed scans.
Recommended it? No

I had high hopes for the 7450c. HP promises up to 15 ppm scans. Hardly.

My biggest complaint is not the lack of promised speed or poor software suite (off brand, all). It's the fact that this scanner CANNOT produce a straight, unskewed scan if its life depended on it.

The whole... Read full review »

Cons ADF tricky. Loud if resolution is up. No duplex. SAVE MONEY, TURN THE PAGE.

The HP ScanJet 7450c Scanner is the "best bang for your buck" on a full featured scanner with automatic document feeding. Because of the age, the cost is very reasonable at this time. The scanner itself is going to be Vista Compantible. Currently with Vista, you would need to download the the 4860... Read full review »

I got the HP 7450C to convert hundreds of printed pages into text. I never once was able to get it to do the full capacity of 50 sheets in the sheet feeder at once without an "Unexpected internal error" occurring totally losing the whole scan. Tried scanning only 25 pages at a time, and most of the... Read full review »
