Think well before buying
Pros
Good Phone. Good functions
Cons
Awful billing and hidden charges.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Despite the smart functions of this set i still rank it below average for the annoying billing. Your Hatred for billing will finally overcome your love for it.
Helio ocean as a phone is amazing but service is horrible
PRO's
As said, hand set is really good.
Blue tooth,3G, CDMA MP3, all work good
dial pad and key pad function makes it much easier to dial a number and write a message with ease and speed
For a multimedia phone battery life is not bad (48-72hrs on average with regular usage)
Helio probably functions through 3 services so reception is always reasonable
Google, yahoo, wiki and amazon search makes it handy when you are away from your PC. Youtube and video channels make it a good toy on the road(if you are in the area covered by helio). Email too is a plus
Con's
1. Hand set cannot be used with any other service except helio even if contract ends. So that means if you quit using helio service you quit using helio ocean.
2. There are hidden charges for which you will never get an explanation. In my last 10 months I have paid the original decided price only twice. This month its almost double (124 instead of 65)
3. Most of the people there at the customer service speak incoherent English especially when it comes to a question about billing.
4.Built in GPS is slow so its good if you are walking and not good if driving
5. Camera is said to be 2 Mega pixel but the result is that of VGA
6. Unlimited data plan has to be bought to utilize the internet function or else it will cost you a fortune every month.
In short like and dislike is totally subjective depending on personal requirements. I would request customers to think well before buying and not to be impulsive in decision
Regards
