I get a little spoiled when it comes to listening to the music I want when I want it. I am always with either a good CD or my 30 gig IPOD which is filled with more music than I have time to listen to. Then just the other day, I have found a way to listen to even more music that could have me humming and feeling fine.
Griffin Technology 4030-ROAD Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter for Apple IPOD enables me to celebrate music in a more magnificent way. With this handy tool, I can simply plug it into the cigarette lighter, set the FM frequency and then the music from my IPOD plays through my car speakers while also charging my IPOD. I like this idea better than the IPOD cassette transmitter which allows me to play my IPOD through the car speakers, but does not charge my IPOD. The Griffin Technology 4030-ROAD Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter for Apple IPOD was made specifically for IPODS and works with all IPOD sizes.
Inside the box of the Griffin Technology 4030-ROAD Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter for Apple iPod, there was more things than I expected there to be. The box contained a convenient FM transmitter and charger module, an auto charger dock, the FM transmitter module, home computer cable attachment kit, adjustable snap-in rotating arms, and a quick start guide. The box also comes with a full size IPOD cradle, a 1st generation IPOD nano cradle, a 2nd generation IPOD nano cradle and an IPOD mini adapter. The adjustable snap-in rotating arms help you to position your IPOD within reach of the driver.
Once plugged into the cigarette lighter securely, a red/green indicator light to show that the unit is receiving power and transmitting. The transmitter has 3 buttons on it: A+, -, and !. The exclamation point sets the frequency, usually to 88.1 FM, but you can choose the frequency that best fits you. The transmitter creates warmer sounds for frequencies that are not real stations. Nonetheless, you can set the transmitter to any FM frequency from 88.1 to 107.9 FM.
While I like the idea of a contraption that can keep music flowing around me consistently, I do not like the fact that if you are diving and hit a bump, the transmitter falls right out of the cigarette lighter and I find myself constantly trying to fix it. I actually feel more comfortable putting a CD into the player. For what it Is worth, it is a good product.
