Clunky, inconvenient, gets in way of driving

Excitement led to frustration when using this product.
It's too big and too clunky. Difficult to plug into cigarette lighter. Felt like I had a Canadarm Robot projecting from my ash tray.
When I used the adjustable joints to make the iPod face me, more irritation. It won't stay in place. Plus my gear shift hit it, and it was also in the way of my heating and stereo controls.
Oh yeah, and if you leave your vehicle, you have to dismantle it. Well there is the one portion of "the arm" on the bottom that can stay in the ashtray, but the rest has to fit in your purse (the remaining arm about ten inches long), plus your ipod.
I'm going to take it back. I think what I need is something that will velcro my iPod onto the front of my truck console, with a loose power cord hanging from it to the lighter, and maybe something like a MacExtreme AirPlay to simplify things. I just want light, small, easy to transport in and out of the vehicle.
