Don't waste your money on the Ezonics Discovery LX!!!

Pros Comes with batteries and a handy dandy carry strap.
Cons The rest of the camera sucks!!!!!!!
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Do not waste your money. The lack of product support leaves you feeling like you were cheated!!!
I bought this product because I thought I was getting a good deal for my money.

I have yet to find anything that I really like about this product.

What I hate about this product is apparently there is a software problem with the camera I got and Ezonics product support is virtually nonexistent.

No matter how many times you try to load the drivers, Windows XP cannot find them. Even if you download the drivers off the Ezonics website, Windows XP will not find them. The instructions tell you to load the drivers first then connect the camera. I did this from the start and it did not work. I then uninstalled and disconnected everything and tried it again. I did this multiple times in varying orders. 1) Disconnect camera from USB cable, plug everything back up, did not work. 2) Disconnect USB cable from computer, plug everything back up, does not work. 3)Disconnect camera from USB cable and then disconnected the cable from the computer, plugged it all back up, did not work. What topped it all off was that I ran the batteries down in the camera trying to install the drivers.

I then checked the User's Manual for troubleshooting and product support and found out that this was nonexistent. However, the User's Manual explains that Ezonics is a limited liability company. I know what this means now. If you leave all contact and troubleshooting info out, no one can hold you liable for anything.

I then checked their website for some kind of help or customer support. It is a little better than the User's Manual. At least they give you an e-mail address so that you can write someone and tell them your problem. Maybe in a week or two they will provide me with some advise.

My advise to anyone who is considering purchasing this product, go with with Kodak, Nikkon, Cannon, or another name brand that has proven itself trustworthy.

Where it says solid enough for a professional, what I mean by that is it would take a computer expert to figure out how to load the camera.
