Denon quality at an entry level price
I purchased the AVR-587 while exchanging another video receiver which left me unimpressed. I had not considered the Denon when I made my initial purchase. I will not be exchanging this unit.

Great clarity and quality for the price
OK, just to preface this, I bought a Pioneer and hated the sound quality as it made my nice JBLs sound a bit midrangy and a little distorted so I returned it and upgraded to the Denon.
