Upgrading upgrading... with Dell offering substantial price discounts and coupons, it was hard not to upgrade my X50v for the X51v for the improved memory structure and improved battery life in the newest generation. Also, my brother was willing to take my older model off my hands. I got the X51v... Read full review »
The Dell Axim X51v Pocket PC: It Was Great, When it Worked That Is!
For the past several years I thought the Pocket PC was a trinket I did not need in this new world of electronic communication and access. I have used some devices of this kind in the past (3-5 years ago) and mainly enjoyed them at the particular time of use, but recently have moved away from this... Read full review »

Dell AXIM X51v:
I used the Palm Tungsten E for a long time and never had a problem with it. My company gave me Dell Axim X51. There was a major difference in performance (cant compare the two esp. since the Tungsten is 2-3 years older & different OSs). When my wife got a X51v, it was a...

Dell Axim 51V Too Expensive and Limited
"The Bottom Line"
The Dell Axim 51V is a very expensive handheld PC with more limitations than a cheap insurance policy. Unless you have a new computer with all of the recent updates installed and you never plan to use it outside of your own home then avoid this device.

Sent defective product back...not ready for sale.
I sent my defective X51v back to Dell for refund. There's too many problems for a $400 pocket pc:
* Programs simply disappear from Today with no way of retrieval.
* Included "Switcher" loses track of programs running, crashes. WM5 loses Switcher won't reboot it.
