Got my Nikon Coolpix 7600 for my Honeymoon cruise last year. Paid less than $150 for a 7+ megapixel camera when $150 should get you a 3.1 megapix unit. Can't beat that.
The camera worked fine for me in all the standard modes one would use. The pictures produced with sharp and brilliant and printed up the same....wouldn't know it wasn't taken with a 'quality 'film' camera. The camera's response to 'taking the picture' was a tad slow in it's efforts to automate everything perfectly, but I wasn't going to the races so that wsn't much of a problem.. Camera lag is greatly reduced by 'turning off' most of the unnecessary automations- gotta read you manual fully!
Battery life is better than average, and only requires 2 batteries- a nice plus. The camera case that comes with the camera has a strap and a belt loop, and refelcts Nikon quality.
This was my 4th digital camera, (a Fuji, Canon and Olympus preceeded it) and both the samllest and best of the lot.
