Bad Product, Bad Company
COBY products in general are cheap knockoffs of other products. Even their name and logo are designed to resemble "SONY".
My DVD player stopped working within 2 weeks.
In addition to having to pay $10 to ship it back to them I have to pay THEM $6 to send me another one.

Great for small children.
I purchased 2 of these portable DVD players for my grandsons for Christmas (ages 7 & 3.) They absolutely love them. They have taken them on trips and to many hotels. OK...until it got dropped once...
Got this free from DirecTV for signing a new contract. We used it for our 4 year old for about 3 or 4 months. One day he dropped it on the tile floor in the kitchen and now it's toast. Wasn't a very far drop...I think portable electronic devices should stand up to more than that.
