MW2 is most certainly better than MW in single player mode, but don't buy this game just for single player, its all about online gaming. Absolutely love free for all. although Call of Duty 6 is a great game, with a fantastic online experience, there are some thing that are, in my opinion, flawed.

Stick with the original version if there's a difference in price.
Besides a few bugs with the online multiplayer's chat, this game is perfect. The hardened version is not completely necessary; you'll get the feel of the game completely from the original version.
