The Bottom Line:
This is the detector to get for added protection
This is a review after using this detector for two months. If you are shopping for a Radar detector this is an excellent buy and well worth the money. You will find out the very first time it saves you and you find that you had time to monitor your speed. If you have a lead foot though
let someone else take the lead and be the dummy, then you follow them give them some room to run and you should not get ticketed when they get caught.
With Law Enforcement moving into POP as they are in my area this picks up POP excellent. Remember though that POP is a sample of your speed and lets the cop know whether or not it is worth it to pull the trigger warning all the other motorists to slow down.
I drive between Granbury and Dallas for my job. And over the last 2 months of owning this radar detector driving throughout this area can definitely tell you that this is a excellent radar detector.
POP mode works excellent as well as K, KA Band and Laser.
There are many curves, bridges, hills and overpasses in my area. This Unit also does not false alert, with the exception of when I am passing alarm systems (usually on X band). Other than that if it is going off you need to watch out. Exellent 360 degree detection.
I was traveling along on the interstate the other day and
about a mile a way around the corner it starting reading
the cop, sitting stationary shooting out the back window.
Ka Band on this model is really sensitive and reads the Police and the State Troopers with alot of time to slow down. However I have noticed that some law enforcement are shooting a shorter range sometimes less than 500 ft so watch out.
